Greetings,
The family background of a talent is asked during the interview to check behavioural fit . Often , certain companies have the policy to check the alingment of the talent and its family background .It helps an interviewer to predict certain behaviours .
Suppose , a talent who says ' My parents have been working in a transferable job ' , it may mean the talent would be open to relocation if required during the employement. Furthermore , if a talent shares that ' My family manages a business through generations ', it would be necesarry for the interviewer to check the need of the talent to look for the job . Though it also means the talent to have certain degrees of entrepreneural capablities. But then most of these deductions are probablities .
The results from these question do not form a mark on the stone. But is considered only to an extent.
Hope this answers your question.
Regards,
