Hello All,
I am planning to include the following components in our salary structure for tax exemptions:
1. Vehicle fuel and maintenance reimbursement - Rs. 6000 per month
2. Mobile Phone expense reimbursement - Rs.2000 per month
3. Journals and Magazine subscription reimbursement - Rs.1000 per month
4. Self Education for Professional Development - Rs. 3000 per month
Can you please let me know how feasible they are in terms of tax treatment?
Please treat this as urgent as i need to make the neccessary changes by end of June'10

For item No.1, max limit is 5000/- p.m for 2 wheeler & 20,000/- for 4 wheelers for tax exemption. The employee should own the vehicle in his name to avail this exemption.
