Hi,

Can anyone let me know what is the penalty for not registering under the Shops and Establishment Act in Mumbai? This was overlooked. Although we are registered under the Shops and Establishment Act in the city where our head office is located, we unintentionally failed to register in Mumbai.

In 2007, we had only one or two employees in Mumbai. By 2008, the number increased to 5 or 6, and in 2009, we had 11 employees. If we register now, what will be the penalty, and are there any additional fines to consider?

If there is an expert on this issue or someone knowledgeable, please assist. If you know someone who can provide a reference to a professional handling these tasks, please share.
