This is right step to set the wrong doer in line . We must think and realize about making decision.

Only if you can realise that by diverting train on unused track you are putting many manty more lives at risk ,you will be able to take correct decision.Moral you should be able to judge the relative risks involved.

A thought provoking presentation and it should be propagated for the benefit of others who are cursed with improper decisions. It should be a good tool for Planners and Development Professionals

To be honest 90% will choose to divert train on non operational track and sacrifice 1 child. but true non operational track can endanger life of passengers also.
This was an EYE OPENER . b4 taking decison we must must pause, be rational and NOT jump to conclusion. and probably ie what is thumb rule of a decison maker. Think and Act.

Shimit,
Was it not possible to stop the train in its tracks and have a win win situation for all?. Just hypothesising. Another angle is that should we accept that the sensible ones are always sacrificed no matter what. We see that happenning everyday around us - the foolishness of the many vs sensibility of a few!!! Would like ur comments...

Very dilematic presentation , but the decision had to be taken as the train has to go in one direction, but in due course there is a sacrifice !!! In office also there comes a similar situation one has to take the decision
