Dear friends,

I am in Holland, I am studying HRM. I am doing my research paper. But I am looking for a successful case study in the sense that a successful reward system in terms of extrinsic and intrinsic rewards have retained and motivated excellent R&D workers in Banglore. Since Jobhoppings in Software especially during R&D workers are very common. Can you help me with this?

In my research paper I want to explore whether the balanced extrinsic and intrinsic rewards can be very successful or significant to retain these R&D knowledge workers. Since the mobility of R&D knowledge workers can bring big risk to Small and Medium software enterprises, for the confidential information could be brought out as well.

some people think jobhopping is the chance or step to develop their career. it is necessary, how do you think that ? Do you think reward system in terms of extrinsic and intrinsic is a good way to retain the excellent R&D workers in software industry?

If you have some good suggestions, please tell me! Thank you very much in advance!

Thank you very much!

I am very appreciated if you can give help!

Hi Anne.

how u doin? My name is Ganesh and currently i am doing my MBA specializing in HR.I am based in India,Pune.Don't know whether u have heard of the place.Well my current assignment is on Knowledge Management in one of the premiere insurance companies in India.Well basically i a bit confused of how to go about it. :( We had a very raw version of Km before in the form of a bulletin board where people could share their thoughts, ideas and opinions. But it didnt fare to well.So i devised and administered a questionnaire to find out the reasons behind its mediocre performance.Well the data threw some surprising results but i am not sure now how to proceed.Regarding your case study well maybe if my Km implementation goes well it can be a case study for you.So hows your MBA goin?Regarding intrinsic and extrinsic rewards i found out this when i was adminstering the questionnaire--the senior level managers are not tempted by money if you encourage them to be active on the KM groups ,in the hope of disseminating information.U need to pamper to their egos and to their status.Conversely the middle level management would gladly be more willing to share theri thoughts and experiences if they knew there was a cash prize/incentive involved .Well thats something to chew about.

mail me on

Love & Regards,

Ganesh
