How to work with your own teammate who doesn't cooperate with you? If someone has an "I, Me & myself" attitude, how do you work with that person? The organization cannot dismiss the employee since he is old. However, he doesn't cooperate with any new employees who join the team. He makes all the decisions himself and doesn't consider discussing things with his new teammates; additionally, he hides information and facts. When this issue is brought to the attention of the higher authority, the boss instructs the new employees to adjust.

Wait until he passes away, or simply put yourself in his shoes and see why he is acting the way he is. I always say, it always trickles from the top. Your boss is fully aware of the situation and is waiting for the problem to solve itself. It won't. It's all about people. Reach out to this colleague even if he resists it. You will soon find out in your life that people are more important than jobs. By the way, you will one day get old.

The best way to tackle such a situation is to bridge the gap of information and establish a good rapport with higher management. The situation will automatically change if someone is dedicated to work, knows what is expected of him/her, and carries out the tasks with a positive approach. I strongly believe that people with negativity will lose out to those who have positive energy and who energize the work environment. So, if a team-mate is simply uncooperative or hiding facts, then the approach is to bypass him and establish a good rapport with higher-ups.
