Hi,

I am planning to join another firm within a month. Can anyone please answer my questions mentioned below?

1. Which one is faster, PF withdrawal, or Transfer?
2. Procedures for both.
3. How much time will it take for transfer and withdrawal?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sree,

As Amrutha said, it will take 60-70 days to withdraw your PF amount. However, for a transfer, the timeline is uncertain. To initiate a transfer, you need to fill out Form 13 (Revised) and submit it to the PF office through your current employer.

To Withdraw:
If you have worked with the company for more than 6 months, you must submit Form 19 & 10C for your PF withdrawal. If your tenure was less than 6 months, you are not eligible to withdraw your pension amount, so there is no need to submit Form 10C. Form 19 is for your PF amount, and Form 10C is for your pension amount. You can submit these forms with your most recent employer or directly to the PF office after getting them attested by any government officer.

Hi Amrutha and Raj,

Thank you very much for the information. The only thing I need to confirm is whether for the transfer, I need to submit forms through my current employer or the new organization? Because both of your statements on this matter are different.

Thank you,
Sree.
