Dude,
Most of the HR related reports are done in MS Excel..
such as.. Employee Details, Head Count, Attendance, Absence, Attrition, Turn Over,Accrued leave, Accrued Indemnity, Graphic Analysis e.t.c

Dear Tharankini,
Good question.
Data without analytics has no relevance in today's scenario, unless you are able to convert those data using right metrics to derive insightful and valuable information to support business decisions for the top management. You can do all this by using EXCEL only.
Here is an example of - 5 Interviewing Metrics that Matter :-
#1 Metric — Screened Candidates to Face-to-Face Interviews
#2 Metric — Face-to-Face Candidates Interviewed to Offers Extended
#3 Metric — Offers Extended to Offers Accepted
#4 Metric — Reasons Offers are Being Accepted
#5 Metric — Reasons Offers are Being Rejected
