Dear All,

How are you doing today? Here, I have something interesting.

Body language is an important part of communication, which can constitute 50% or more of what we are communicating. If you wish to communicate well, then it makes sense to understand how you can (and cannot) use your body to say what you mean.

- [Aggressive body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/aggressive_body.htm): Showing physical threat.
- [Attentive body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/attentive_body.htm): Showing real interest.
- [Bored body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/bored_body.htm): Just not being interested.
- [Closed body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/closed_body.htm): Many reasons are closed.
- [Deceptive body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/deceptive_body.htm): Seeking to cover up lying or other deception.
- [Defensive body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/defensive_body.htm): Protecting self from attack.
- [Dominant body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/dominant_body.htm): Dominating others.
- [Emotional body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/emotional_body.htm): Identifying feelings.
- [Evaluating body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/evaluating_body.htm): Judging and deciding about something.
- [Greeting body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/greeting.htm): Meeting rituals.
- [Open body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/open_body.htm): Many reasons for being open.
- [Power body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/power_body.htm): Demonstrating one's power.
- [Ready body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/ready_body.htm): Wanting to act and waiting for the trigger.
- [Relaxed body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/relaxed_body.htm): Comfortable and unstressed.
- [Romantic body language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/romantic_body.htm): Showing attraction to others.

Mr. Muniraju,

I found the information that you have posted very informative, well thought out, and with good reasoning. You are right, in today's world a lot rides on our body language, and we do convey a lot knowingly or unknowingly to our colleagues on a professional level as well as on a personal level. However, I am looking for the main points to put in an induction training for new staff. I would appreciate it if you would post that information if you have it.

Regards, Aveena
