What all information is necessary to be filled in the employee Muster file so that every information is available on just opening an excel sheet
These i think would be necessary
First Name
Second Name
Date of Birth
Previous employers
Date of Joining
Date of Confirmation
Date of leaving
Increment of the employee sub titles Salary Date Designation
PF. No,
Pan No
If there is any other information that i will have to gather in order to make the muster file pls help me

Went thru the excel and was really helpful and would like to know what kind of functions can be used in a master file is auto filter the best way of filtering employees who have left the company
Or there is way we can pull those employees currently employeed with us into another worksheet in the same excel book

Dear Tina... It can be done either way as both options can be used according to our conveience. i am using alternative work sheet for maintaing left employees details.further options in this is not explored by me till now.

Master files can be mentioned in 2 formates
1. Existing Employees data-Department wise ( for easy search)
2. Ex-Employee data-Department wise ( for easy search )
the contents u mentioned are fine,add 2 more options for that formate for better one
1. Contact number of the employee for passing any information.
2. Employee Company Email-ID for official mails.

I am rt now using aravind format with a little change since we dont have salary structure but still would like to know how to pull the current employee's list from the master employee do you think Vlook up will help in this and how do we use this comand anyone ready to help me on this
