Dear Friends,
We are responsible adults & need to know when to draw the line.
I write this as I have seen an almost identical case unfold before my eyes & fervently hope that it does not end horribly.
Most part of the day is spent at work & traveling. The only option we have is to spend some quality time with family as there is no quantity time at our disposal.
We must make the most of this as this is an equal if not bigger responsibility as our work.
We work for enhancing the lives of our families & it is a shame that not most realise it & give importance to their colleagues over their family post work.
Wake up guys! there is more to life than just work!
Explore life with your family whenever possible. You only live once!

Pradeepa,

Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

the only thing substantial in post is "Colleagues are work mates & not friends", which i completely agree.

The rest I feel is just a way for you take out your frustrations, maybe it happened to you or ur close friends, watever be it.

What people do they do it knowingly or unknowingly its upto them, if some people want to get into an extra marital affair, it's their call. They know the consequences.

Now, i know that ur post is about learning how to stop this from happening, but what u need to understand is that ur techniques are baseless, we want someone to talk to, sometimes we make friends this way. Sometimes people love flirting even if they are married it brings the zing back in their lives, and about husband - wife relationships, well they need to be open and with an ample amount of communication. Communication is the crux of stopping these affairs.

If there is no communication. then people look for someone who is willing to and that leads to various bad habits as you state.

So i dnt agree with ur orthodox ideas & ways.

Next time when you want to pen down ur thoughts ensure that ur research on human behavior and psychology is upto the mark, as I see no research done by you at all, just the typical Indian female psychology, "stay at home dont talk to boys, be a good nice housewife and ur husband is god & always right" and Other men (not the husbands) they are hungry wolves who are only waiting to get into the women's pants.

Its great to read your article. I have seen or infact seeing such burning issues in my own work place.
It is very dis-heartening to see that people get into extra marital relationships thus indirectly being dishonest to their spouses. Please understand your family trusts you and the foundation of any relationship is "Trust". The day on which this foundation is broken the entire structure of relationship collapses.
One might argue that this kind of behaviour if just cool under the pretext of having "Modernised thought process", but they would only be fooling themselves.....
This is definitely a growing concern ...considering that its becoming a part of our culture??

Hello,
While appreciating for useful post, I feel you tried to touch only the 'Personal Front' of the employees only.
We should analyze the aftermath situation of the Company in these cases. B'coz of this unintended human bevoiour and serious lapses in arresting them before, the situation turns to be explored to these extents. However, the Company will face more challenges to overcome from these behaviours of employees (Human beings):

Hello, while appreciating for useful post, everyone should also be able to understand the organization point of view as this unintended human bevoiours and serious lapses in arresting them in early stages, will lead to the situations be explored to these extents.
The organisations also suffer from these incidents and shall have to face more challenges to overcome these situations than their business challenges, in which HR is crew. very few of them to name:
- Proper handling of the locale, families of the employees, media and beurocrats etc, as orgnaisation has to respond to social responsibility

- Image re-building exercises at fast phase to overcome the situations like third eye perception about lack of Security in the organisation, etc.
This is my personal feeling and thanks for understanding.
