Dear Team, Please suggest to me about Erared leave.
The organization said Earned leave 1.5 will be given after 6 months.

1. A person who joined in January or finished 6 months and then earned leave will be applicable - 1.5X as per our organization?
The question is - can a person get his earned leave balance right from joining? Will get 1.5x6 = 9 or only 1.5?

yes it has to be from DOJ (check the local shop and establishment act) for accruals / eligibility. at the time of exit EL has to be encashed Its company who can decide on
- should it be given post probation
- accruals upfront or month on month
- set a maximum limit post which it shall lapse

Normally earned leave (leave earned by working for certain period) is credited once an employee completes 12 months with the company. As such, an employee joined in January 2024 will get EL only in January 2025. The number leave may be one day for every twenty days worked. As such, there can be around 15 days leave for the year. In the meantime, say after 6 months, if the company is giving EL, it is fine. When it becomes due at the end of the year, the leaves already availed will be adjusted and the balance will be credited. What is the relevance of 1.5 is not understood.

Is this a factory or an office? Are there any other type of leaves like casual leave, medical leave? If not, and if this is an office, then the norms followed by most offices are :
Leave @1.5 days per month gets accrued during the probation period
After the probation period (could be 6 months to 1 year) the leave gets credited to the employee's account (in your case 9 days would get accrued) and employee can take leave subject to the accrued limit.
