We the Members of this forum will not be knowing what type of activity being carried at your Plant on a day to day basis. Whether you sell the components to local market or international market, volume of business of per day / number of departments involved in production..it all depends... A general Comprehensive report from Plant Head to MD of the Company should be on macro level leaving micro level aspects of day to day production.
The ideal Report should talk about
1. Volume of Components produced for the day / week
2. Whether 100% target achieved against order in hand or any deficit
3. Raw material consumed towards production of components vis-à-vis procurement of raw material for next day production or stock in hand
4. Plan of action / target aimed for the next day
5. Month to Month / year to year comparison MIS data in terms of production numbers.
6. Volume of manpower utilized on a day to day basis with note on additional requirement of man power if any
7.Any quality issues related to raw material procured.
The above are just some examples based on your need you can further points.
