We are furniture manufacturers. We are facing problem from the local people claiming to be mathadis. Whenever material goes out or comes in these so called mathadis block the vehicle and ask unreasonable charges like Rs 4000 for 4 wheeler vehicle and so increasing according to the numbers of wheels of veh. Pl advice as to how this problem can be resolved. we have our own set of labours doing loading/unloading job.

Where are you located? There is a Mathadi association and every copmany has to register with Mathadi Board. If you approcah the mathadi board, they can give you the contacts of mathadi people to whom you can depute. Local people will create the problem, hence it is better to assign them as mathadi workers as per the Mathdi board guidelines.
