Dear SARKAR,
No,the employee who not worked for 4 days in a week is not eligible for sunday.
In few organization if employee is absent on Saturday and Monday even in this case employee is not able to get sunday.

Dear Doiti,
The law provides that first day of the week i.e. Sunday be observed as weekly off day in the establishments and all the monthly rated employees who happen to be on the rolls of the company are entitled for wages. However in the case of availment of leaves by an employee on a Saturday and next Monday, the intervening weekly off shall be treated as same kind of leave (as of Saturday & Monday), as per provisions of law in some states. The same principle shall apply if the weekly off of the establishment is declared some other day than Sunday.
In the case of daily rated employees, the wages are paid for the working days only as the daily rate is arrived by dividing monthly rate to 26 days.
Thanks & Regards
