Hi ,
Due to some reason, my M.tech project topic changed. Now the topic assigned to me is HAZOP and Risk assessment. My doubt is that "What area or which area should i concentrate for my project?". Also is there any free or paid software available in market for performing the HAZOP.

HAZOP is not a standard or template which can be used anywhere. It differs according to the type of plants/industries. exempli gratia, the Oil & Gas Hazop is more stringent than other process industries/plants.

Thank you all for your sharing.
I found the slides very useful for an understanding of HAZOP. It is clear we should not let academics make the subject so detailed and dogmitic that it becomes out of reach of the shop-floor safety practitioners.
