In our company we are providing petrol reimbursement of Rs. 2/kilometer. Please advice as to whether there should be any maximum limit regarding amount or Km fixed. If yes, then please advise what should be the amount. Please advice me ASAP as I require the details urgently.

yes its up to management to decide on allowance but can be fixed according to the grade.in our org we follow like for the executive level around Rs 3000/-permonth and go on as the grade...scrutinize the current market situations and then fix the allowance...

The limit can be decided by the management. But 2Rs. per km for 4 wheeler seems way too low, even for 2 wheeler it is low. Ideal thumbrule is to base 4 wheeler reimbursement per km on the per km rate of Autorickshaws in your city/ state/nearest state.
