i have just moved to dubai and looking for a job.I came across this consultancy named:
AL QABAS INT'L
AL BUHAIRAH,
SHARJAH.
They charged me AED 100 and later asked me for AED 300 for conducting interviews.
Meanwhile i got a call from a company named "Core element"
which is another Fake company.
I dont want anyone else to get into their trap...

Dear Praveen
You are 100 % correct. There are people who are trying to encash these bad times of jobless situation as well.
I too came across with one of our employee who got an offer / opportunity to get employed in a Free Zone Govt established Org provided this guy pays him upfront through western Union. He keeps on calling through his cell no. Not sure if he owns that number or again its on some fake name.
I was wondering how to report these nos and cases to the authorities. Just imagine the plight of those ignorant people trying their luck to get a good break ? I am sure some of them may fall in this trap of paying upfront as well.

There is no point of giving any type of service charges to recruitment agencies, If they ask you money 100% sure they are fake
Charging a recruitment fee from the candidate is illegal in UAE according to the UAE Ministry of Labour.

Thank you for the information.
Isn't it happening in India?
While taking interviews (8 months back), it came up anonymously by 2-3 candidates that they were charged some registration fee (Rs. 500 to 1000) for interview line-up (new & local consultants in Delhi)
Since I find it a poor practice, I requested the HR person "not to call candidates from such consultant quoting the same reason. HR person supported me and did the same.
Our HR team also included it into the policy (candidates are not charged any amount on the name job assurance / registration / interview line up) before engaging any consultant.

Hi,
I am Placement Consultant based at New Delhi .
I am working from Last 4 yrs and got more then 100 candidates who offer themselves for job in good companies.
Even i know few consultant thy charge 100 - 500 Rs as registration charges.
Just to Inform all that it is better to register your profile in Naukri.com , Monster.com , Timejobs.com & may use search Engine like Google .. No need to pay any charges for registration. Its not some kind of Institute..
Their mai targets are Fresher who are looking for job. They have tie up with companies and they arrange fake Interview and pay comission to Staff..All fresher are informed that there lot of vacancy only you need to be open to relocate and have attitute to learn and exel.
Finally no need to pay any charges to consultant for any registration / Comission / Fees...

Hi Dude,
Do you have a list of reputed consultants in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. I'll be thankful if you could do this favor.
Moreover, I'm looking for list of reputed Oil & Gas companies. Actually, I'm writing an article on HR Strategies being implemented by Oil & Gas Companies in Gulf Region for Society of Human Resource Management.
Some days back, I requested the same to a senior member of this site but have not received any response so far.
Appreciate your early response please.

hi praveen..
mee too got a cal from core elements(earlier they located in,20th centuary building, near to clock tower,Dubai..now they shifted to another place),and attended an interview there.after interview they asked AED150 to push the resume to the prospective employer...i have not given any amt there,as my brother in law told me to do so...i just escaped from there trap..
these type of fake consultancies setting up there offices, getting a land phone connection, mail id only for 6-8 months.after this period they, changing all these..
The candidates ,esp visit visa holders, falling in their trap, and wasting time..
thats the matters going on here..the authority not taking any measures against this.
and moreover,i saw a documentry in a malayalam news channel about "Euro asia managment consultancy"(this also a fake one).they trapping candidates..beware of this too..

Core elements / Coreelementsmc Dubai, They will call you & say --- One of the prestigious clients of ours has asked us to interview YOU.
Once you are at their office they will charge you Dhs 150/- & you will never receive any call from them.
In Dubai such cheats are everywhere.
