Greetings to all,
My experience of the first UAE Cite HR meet was a great experience. I am honored to know a group of HR professionals who are striving to assist each other with vital information relative to our work.. The have make my life easier for sure.
I have benefited from the shared resources, market insight, and most of all from a sense of support.
Frankly, over the course of my professional life I have been engaged in a number of professional associations and currently am enrolled in a few on-line social networking groups, but NONE been as supportive with timely information and friendly open relations.
I am glad that I found Cite HR and delighted to be active in the Meets.
Best regards,
Bruncha

Dear Sajid,

Yes. It is an item in my wish list too. About, like minded people from UAE, who regularly visit and read this wonderful forum. Some times, I do not understand when I see so many read notices but no replies. Why is every one so hesitant about leaving a few words. First of all, it will give an opportunity to know his/her thoughts about the topic to the other readers. Secondly, it will improve the communicative skills of the member. Practise make things perfect. This is my belief and practise. Keeping things closed in ones heart and mind will never do any good. So, I appreciate our dear members from UAE open a bit more and communicate freely here.

Now, presenting to you my experience so far with Cite HR. I remained as a silent member in this wonderful forum for some time after I joined (on 22-12-2006). There was not much to write about HR activities from UAE and was silently using this as a learning platform to read and understand what was happening in India. It was like watching form the gallery, when I used to see all those long threads and discussions. Slowly, I thought, of bringing some life to activities here, and then started posting in the Articles by Forum Members section about life here, or in the middle east and also to generate attention to what is going on here, by giving some links here and there through my blog, which was mainly about Life in UAE, Developments, articles and posting in the local news about visa rule changes, daily life etc.

The increased activities of UAE Forum, as it is now, started in full swing in late December, and from then on, a group of like minded members, under the leadership of Mildred, Sajid, Mujeeba, - to name a few - initiated time and efforts and then we had our first meeting in June in Dubai.

It was an opportunity to meet those names with whom we have been replying on daily or a weekly basis. It created further interest and now, it is like forming of a bigger family with each additional members coming and posting and expressing there ideas.

As you all know very well, it is not an easy task to create an interest and to make people come and participate and express their mind and heart. So, comments and kudos goes to the untiring efforts of Sajid, who makes sure to contact each of the new members by phone or email. I also try to do the same. As many of you who are in the e-mail group are now currently connected with each other through individual contact details, it would be also a nice gesture to take your phone or write an email, to contact each others, and introduce and discuss common topics. It will definitely create more interest and more interactions here.

Thank you all once again, visit without fail, comment with interest and progress together.

See you at the 2nd Forum meeting scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi tomorrow.

For those who have not already registered, it is never late, we have a few more slots, show your interest by contacting the coordinators Mr. Sajid and Ms. Mujeeba or or leave your telephone number/email here and one of us will get back to you. It is an opportunity and do not miss it.

Regards,

Ramesh Menon
