Hi,
I am working with a small company in Service Industry. Presently, we are not following any dress code and now the management wants to start dress code.
Before implementing the same, i have been asked to provide company specific dress code policy. Please send me the Dress Code policy followed by your company with the name of the company.

Dear Friend,
Company to company it differes. I suggest you to formulate a policy on your own so that you can have more grip on the subject, don't look for ready made data.
only the thing is what is the requirement ie., whether such initiative is required or not, if yes, who are all to be covered under the same policy ie., whether it need to be extended across the industry or only some segment of people.
If outsourced activities are there then what needs to done for those people, if you wants to extend the same to those people also, is it the same colour code or to be different ( like security guards / house keeping boys / canteen / drivers etc., but it should be different from the regular employees), if it is to be extended to the out sources people then is the company will provide or company will pay in lieu of the dress provided to the contractual employees.
For working out all these things you need to obtain a clearance from all the HODs failing which they won't own it up and finally it is going to be a failure, hence it is better to form a team consisting a minimum of 3 to 4 members across the functions at HOD level, discuss, debate, document, obtain signatures and keep it as a basic document, prepare a policy covering all the above points, obtain approval from the top management and implement.
