Dear All, Greetings. I had worked as an HR for an organization where they don't give any offer letter, any statutes, etc. Due to a good job offer, I have quit that company and joined. But, I have gone to my superior to meet him and say I am quitting. He never gave me time and I quit that company.
Now, they have stopped my salary and not releasing me. I have sent the resignation letter and no dues. But they are not releasing. Can anybody please let me know how to proceed further in this matter? Please help and guide me.

While quitting the employment, you could have clarified your exit procedure to the seniors. Probably it was done hastily. Now, you may talk to the MD of the company and request him to release the salary. If the MD does not oblige then send the hard copy of the application through Speed Post. Retain the receipt from the post office carefully.
If the MD does not oblige then what to do that we will see later.
By the way, generally, these types of queries come from non-HR professionals. However, it is surprising to see a post of this kind from the HR professional.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes i do agree with you. But, an owner operated company and don't follow any procedures, anything.. showing professionalism is required.?? if they want to remove an employee, they will inform in the afternoon and settle by evening. But, before quitting, i went to him to meet and inform that i want to resign. He hasn't given any time to talk also. In that situation i took this decision.

However, to file a complaint, you need to be categorised as "workman" under the provisions of the Industrial Dispute Act, 1947.
