calculation depends on industry to industry. for example, if its the construction or infrastructure industry, company may have many projects to execute, but only the executed work amount (collected amount from the market or your clients) is the total turnover
another example: for manufacturing industry, what ever orders you have fulfilled. the total collection is the total turnover.
This is as per my knowledge. moderators may correct me
