Dear Mr. Venky1957,
As per the Company's Act 2008, you can unveil the identity of a Director, this goes as the statement of captial sets out to the nominal value of the shares, which when at the time when a bond paper is procured has to be disclosed with which company and whose name has to be acknowleged.

Hello Venky1957,
It would have been more appropriate if you had mentioned the background/reason(s) for your query.
Coming to your query, pl clarify what do you mean/understand by 'public'. Like Sharmila Das indicated, the names of Directors have to be disclosed to the MCA & also to the IT Dept on an annual basis.
However, public--meaning any citizen--can get this info from MCA thru RTI Act if the reason(s) is/are justified.
Suggest give FULL details for your query--to get more suggestions form the members.
Rgds,
TS
