Dear All,
what is the maximum age limit to hire a employee.
Can we hire a candidate who crossed the retirement age (60 yrs as per the act) and will they are eligible for esic and pf contribution. please suggest me.

In general the retirement age would be 58 or atmost 60 after that if you want to continue his services then better to deploy him on consultant basis. After 60 no PF to be deducted and I dont think that his / her salary will be less than 15000/- hence ESI also.

Hi Kamesh,
thanks for your reply. i understand that we must deploy the employee who crosses the retirement age and take him as a off role employee (like a consultant). Even when i check with some of the legal advisor's, some of them say yes and some of them say no. if there is any reference is available means it will be very help full to me. If you have any reference documents kindly share it.
