Your First News Letter can be with a message from your MD.
It can also expain the developement of your company from the beginning.
you can also introduce long serving employees.
It can also cover the events of your company during two issues of your news letter (Either montly or quarterly).
You can inform through it the important occassions in your employees life ( like marriage....)
you can introduce new employyes or those who have been promoted (depending upon the size of the staffs in your Company)
You can inrtoduce your valuable customers to your employees.
I hope you may get a lot of feed back in this and if search you can find a lot regarding this.

Few other aspects you can consider in newsletter are:

1. List of new joinees

2. Names of employees who have got married

3. Names of employees who have newborns

4. Interview senior leaders, get to speak about their personal side like past achievements, hobbies, their philosophy of life, what was the toughtest situation they ever face in work and how they overcame it, how they keep themselves updated, what are the qualities they believe one should possess to be a successful professional, their hobbies etc. You can also get their family group photo and publish the same

5. Figure out if any your employees have special talent like poetry, theatre, arts and crafts. If they won any state level / national / international awards, recognition etc.

6. You can further extend this to your employee's spouse / children also

7. You can take one aspect of your business and demystify it. Let us presume your IT department has launched a new software for tracking goods movement in and out of the company. You can speak about it...

These are few ideas that I could think of...
