Dear All,
There is an incident where an employee had met with an accident while on duty. his medical expenses had been taken care by the company, the doctor had advised him 20 days rest.
Now Should his salary to be paid by the company for the days he had been advised for rest or he has to apply for SL.
Need your suggestion & comments

The best is to check the law in your country. Is the law covered this aspect ?? Indeed, salary might be a kinds of concern and motivation as compared with other competitive company.

you have to abide by law. Infact as accicdent occurs while on duty ,therefore on humanitarian view he should entiteled to get salary .

Dear Satya,
If the employee is covered under ESI then Sickness benefit will be paid by ESIC and if the employee is not covered under ESI then give him sick leaves.
