Coordination can be referred as the connecting activity in a Business Scenario. A business set up would have various centres or departments. Each will be working within its own sphere of activities. At the helm, the activities have to be coordinated to achieve the Organization Objectives / Goals. Absence of coordination will lead to chaos. Many departments/ centres work in silos and coordination will eliminate such confusions.
So in general the basic steps would have
1.0 Enabling interdepartmental information flow.
2.0 Identifying dead loack areas to resolve the issues.
3.0 Taking steps to avoid conflicts between departments.
4.0 Reviewing past decisions and performance.
5.0 Planning for future activities.
On a case to case other steps could be added
