Drill this out and see if you are a mathematician !
Scenario:
- There is a bus with 7 girls inside,
- Each girl has 7 bags,
- Inside each bag, there are 7 Big cats,
- Each Big cat has 7 small cats,
- All cats have 4 Legs each !
Question: How many Legs are there inside the bus?
The total number of Legs would be the password to open the attached EXCEL File

The cats have 9604 among them. But what about the girls? They have 14 legs too. So the answer should be 9618. Please confirm. Jeroo

Hi jeero,
You have done all right,, but your forgotten that Each bags has 7 cats,, i.e. 49*7= 343, and each cat has 4 legs i.e. 1372.
As per calcuated by you (9618 + 1372) = comes 10990

Their are 7 girls with 7 bags
Total 49 bags
Each bag with 8 cats each cat has 4 legs so total legs in each bag is 32
one bag has 7*32=224 legs
Total 7 bags with each girl 224*7=1568
Total seven girls so 1568*7=10976
Total Seven girls so 7*2=14
Therefore in a bus their are 10976+14=10990 legs
