The focus of headhunting is by and large confined to very senior level appointments.
Headhunting aims at pinpointing, approaching, negotiating and recruiting the person who the corporate is particularly keen on getting. eg. A high tech industry would seek the best R&D person to head it and the relevant person could be employed by a competitor or Getting an outside CEO to head a large company would necessitate headhunters to even look overseas for the right fit.
