I have gone through the slides. It speaks about so many things, but it does not speak about Strategic Management. Strategic management is a process which starts with setting of objectives. Next comes Scanning the environment - it is structured in the format of SWOT Analysis. After SWOT analysis, we need to draw an action plan to exploit the opportunities for tackling the Weakness and Strenth to tackle the Threat. The last part of Strategic Management is Strategic Control which is characterised as Feed-Forward Control. Feed - forward control propagates about Pro-active actions rather than Re-active one.

Dear Uttam
W.r.t. your post :
The reason you don't find what you are looking for in "Strategic management" is :
This PPT is taken from CHAPTER 13 of Thompson, Strickland and Gambles', book "CRAFTING AND EXECUTING STRATEGY", 16th Edition published by McGraw-Hill Books
Our fellow member has simply downloaded the material relating to Chapter 13.
Dear Rajesh Kumar
Please credit the source whenever you submit anything.
I am sure you dont want to take the credit for making this PPT. However, some members may erroneously (or foolishly) think that you have made this PPT.

Dear Raj kumar
It has never been my intention to take credit as i knw this is the forum where we exchange our idea and knowledge which we are not carrying from the very first day when I was born. All credit goes to the book. I dont know what you are trying to say and why?
May be you are trying to show that you have very good knowledge of these books. Thats great.
Knowledge is just like moving water, once it is stopped it will be polluted.
As far as my contribution in making this ppt is zero even all the letters in my name "RAJESH' is not mine. It is taken from all those 26 letters of english alpabets.
Hope you would agree with me.
I am so sorry if you felt bad.

Dear Friend,

I don't agree with you on favoring plagiarism to propagate knowledge.

And I don't feel bad, because yours is a typical excuse given by plagiarists, that - they are making (such intellectual) material available to the masses.

I have made myself clear in my last post :

"Please credit the source whenever you submit anything.

I am sure you dont want to take the credit for making this PPT. However, some members may erroneously think that you have made this PPT.
"

If it had never been your intention to take credit (as you say), then you should have mentioned the source (that's what I wrote in my post). SIMPLE !

Yes, I agree with your opinion regarding my interest in Management books. After all, I worked hard and honestly for my MBA and still consider myself a "learning" manager, as learning is a life-long process.

Yes, I agree that knowledge should be disseminated, but not by publishing (on the net) COPYRIGHT MATERIAL in one's own name (as implied by NOT DISCLOSING the source).

Kindly read the Posting Guidelines of this forum (given on the Posting & Reply page), which I am reproducing herewith for you :
  • Posts made by you belong to you as per our disclaimer policy - do not upload copyrighted ebooks or copied material.
  • To refer to any article on the internet - post a link to the article along with a short excerpt and your comments. [this is legal]
  • Upload - only material created by you.

Hope everything has been made clear to you now. I shall not indulge in wasting my time any further on this.

Dear Rajesh Kumar,

I am taking this opportunity to inform other readers too the right way of posting material.

You have taken Raj Kumar Hansdah's forthright views on "Plagiasrism" and commented on his intentions, instead of admitting your fault. Had you said in your first post that it was from such and such a source, the would have not been any problem.

I, usually, advise bloggers to give links to websites rather than post attachments. For example, <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) has Strategic Management Self-Study Modules placed by Prof. Gnomes. This page has the following note:

These copyrighted materials are being used with the express written permission of Richard D. Irwin, Inc., and are intended for the benefit of enrolled students using Thompson & Strickland, Strategic Management: Concepts and Cases (9th edition). All rights reserved. Copyright 1995 Richard D. Irwin, Inc. These files originally were created in PowerPoint format, and they have been transformed into "browser-friendly" HTML format with Microsoft's PowerPoint Internet Assistant.

This I found by Google search at Thomson and strickland + strategic management + ppt slides - Google Search=

also found this Download Files which contains ppt slides from various books on Quantitative Technique
(Lapin and Whistler, Ragsdale, etc), Stg Mgt by Thompson & Strickland and so on.

Have a nice day
Simhan
