Yes, you have to pay overtime wages at double the rate if the total working hours in the week has exceeded 48 hours. If the employee had taken a leave (with pay) in any day during the week, that day or days would be counted as day/ days worked and 8 hours per day of leave with pay should be included in the 48 hours to decide entitlement for overtime wages.

@NK SUNDARAM, the query is all about overtime payment to an employee designated as manager. It is true that managers cannot demand overtime as a matter of right. But there is nothing preventing a manager to get overtime payment. Moreover, if she has not been given any supervisory or managerial powers, then she can very well claim overtime wages. The thread poster was just taking a clarification and it need not be interpreted as lack of knowledge.
