if the person has zero experience in the said arena then helper wages are fine.
when you fill the application form leave the education/ experience column blank.
however don't treat an unskilled worker as an apprentice for several years as he learns most of the things on the process/ client projects.

Dear
Definitions of different categories i.e. skilled,un-skilled, highly skilled etc. are not defined as such under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 but the appropriate Govt. while issuing minimum rates of wages notifications for different categories specifies various designations in these categories.
Opinion/ comments submitted as requested.

Hi
A trainee in an industry / establishment is not a employee, he is for the purpose for learning a particular job, to become a independent workman after completion of his training period. Hence no wages are paid to him, he does not fall under the Minimum wagtes act, till he is a complete trained person and he is employed as a workman. During his period of training only stipend is paid which shall be to meet with his minimum requirement for living and to reach to factory to get him self trained.
No statutory deductions are deducted from trainee stipend.
