Hi Jasmin,

Thats the attention grabber!!.. So make it look as if its a invitation for fun @ work...

Let it be Employee Referral Program for its overall appearance... but u can give a caption like... Refer your friend and get rewarded

GOT FRIENDS? BRING THEM & GET REWARDED*

Make A REFERRAL AND TAKE A REWARD!

Description should be Something like...

"To Work with Best Friend is always Fun!!! So bring your friend to join u @ work!!"
OR

"Is there anyone whom you thing can be your best friend @ work? Maybe a friend of your college, your neighbour, your brother or sister or cousin or relative?

Or maybe you just want to earn EXTERA MONEY!!!

There’s no one who can be a better recruiter for our company than happy, satisfied and smart employee —like U !!"

Hope these lines fire some ideas to your imagination!!!

**** Also i would like to make a point from previous ERP thread.. that no variation in pay in respect to designation of employee. (Jr employee 1000 rupees, Sr. Employee 3000 Rs.) Dont restrict peolple from referring more than 2-4 friends.. coz from HRs point of view more people referred better chances of getting suitable candidates. Contest / Program should be fair enough and healthy to be participated by one and all

All the best

Kishore,

A single employee can be allowed to refer as many as candidate which will help in probability of having better candidate but is there any limitation we can put as far as the selection of reffered employee from a same employee.

hey deepa

well i dnt think that there will be any limitation... cz if u c it from an employee's point of view.. he will refer more just to get the incentive.... the more he refers the more will be the probability of his referral getting hired...

and there will be no biasness involved cz the referred candidate will also have to go through the same recruitment procedure as the candidates from other sources... and its as per the terms and conditions dat a person who refers the candidate is nt eligible to sit in the selection committee..

i hope this infrmation clarifies your doubt...

HI,
jasmin

u are right that employee can refer more candidate as they also have to go with the same process. but i tell u one thing as i doing my training in BPO where i see that more and more candidate come for interview through advertisement in newspaper . and second best is from refer so i tell u that employee refer more candidate as they get the reward when candidate is selected. but it is also very diff for them some time as the candidate is selected but not serious toward his work. so existing employee refer only 4-5 candidate who they know very well and as they get reward but some time they feel very shamefull if candidate do something wrong and harm the company. so it is very difficult job from my experience please correct me if i am wrong.

Hi Deepa,

I have u agree with Jasmin. These programs are once in a year or once in a while programs and employees would definately like to use this opportunity to earn extra money. So no point in limiting a employee in referring more friends...

As far as selection is concerened, you as a HR know who is best of lot, so dont worry about more no.of ppl getting referred. screening and selection will decide who is best fit for the job.

Also the selection should be purely merit based and totally unbiased as employees may loose moral if they come to know about this in future(most affected is HR as he is the one who picks the candidate, so employee will feel insecure to approach HR in future). And i feel that mere reference by team manager or team lead may not qualify a candidate unless until he proves himself best from rest..

Jasmin I would like to have a clarification from you on one point. Now that you (ERP HR) have got enough candidates on deadline, Selection and screening process started... program needs 100 candidates and u got 120 best candidates out of the lot.

Now how will u justify rest of 20 ppl. Coz mere selection of candidates is not enough u have to justify all of them who got selected. Since you will post the details of whom all got selected and who referred most friends.

hi kishore,

well there are cent percent chances for such a situation to happen...

but when we take candidates resume for referral program... we first screen their resume, then call them for interview... then if i realise that despite having the requirement of 100 employees i feel all 120 are suitable for the job.. then i might not communicate about the same to the other 20 candidates.. because this will put a bad name of the organization..

what else i can do is dat i will keep their resume's with me for the future requirements....
