In Minimum wages notification only daily wage is discussed. For getting monthly wage should it be multiplied by 26 or 30.
In some states it is 26 and in some it is 30.
What is the logic behind this?
Please share our inputs.

Hi,
Considering that an Employee has to complete 48 hours to 50 hours of work in a week, which means 8 hours* 6 days = 48 hours. And in a month it there are 30 to 31 days including 4 Sundays. But there is no such law which says that wages has to be paid for 26 days or 30 days.
It totaly depends on the company or factory, how they would like to it.
Company pays salary on 30 days because sometimes they work for more the 8 hours a day and they are not paid extra for that and its basically offical work but if its a labour work then it depends on no of hours and no of days he/she has worked (so most of the Contractors pay them wages for 26 days.

For Employees Appointed on Daily Rate basis , salary is on the basis of Daily Rate as mentioned in Minimum Wages Notification
