Dear seniors,
Kindly guide me on minimum wage rise :
As per Gujarat state government in a year minimum wage rise twice.(6 months)
In my orgenisation we do increments once in a year. So as per act minimum wage is rise twice in a year:
For example:
If I have fixed basic salary 5000/-within a 6 months wage rise will declare then again I have to raise the basic salary.
Where in, if I adjust the amount from CTC then his/her in hand salary will reduce by some amount.
Kindly note that I am not giving D.A
What is the solution for the same. kindly guide me please………..

If you are paying above minimum wages, then increments once a year is not a problem so long as you do not drop below min wage levels during the year (like when the division in min rate takes place)
However, if you are paying minimum wages only, then you need to increase the basic salary (and in effect, total salary) every time there is a change in the rates.

But,
Here i am giving Basic+HRA+Travelling Allow +Washing.Allow=Gross - PF-PT-Other deduction=Take home
What i can do in this case.
Basic is 5500/-
if i change the basic due to minimum wagies to 5800/- then pf will rise and so CTC will rise (Pf employees + Employer)
Kindly Guide

Of courses the purpose of increase in minimum wages is to make you pay more to the workers, to keep them in line to achieving a sustained living. The PF and ctc will go up. You can’t avoid it.
