I work for an IT company with a staff strength of 350 employees in India. We have planned to revise the salary for our employees. Right now the trainees get the stipend for 6 months as 6500/- and after six months they become ASEs and get salary starting from 1.2-1.6 Lacs. I want to restructue the compensation package . All others get good pay like SE from 2.5-4 Lacs, SSE -3.5-5 Lacs etc. We want to revise the salaries of trainees to Rs.1.2. How can I make it without much affecting the upper designated professionals like ASEs. We do not want to change their CTCs. Is there any parameters that are to be followed. Need your help in this regard.

Hi, I am totally new in HRM, however have been working in finance department for more than 5 years. I am in the means of developing a salary structure for my company (30 employees). We are machine maker for Semiconductor industry, majority of the staff in my company are Engineers, technicians & operation staff. Can someone please guide me how to create a fair salary structure for the company? One of the challenges is, how we pay for those experience skills Engineers where reporting to a Manager who are not as skillful? The skillful Engineer may have a higher pay compare to the manager. How all these works? Can someone provide me some website or information to study? Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks.
