lot of confusion is being created by in the society regarding amendment to bonus act. Some of them are of the opinion that it has come into force from 1.10.2010.
In this connection we want to clarify that so for no bill has been moved by central Govt. regarding bonus Act. However one private bill was introduced in March. 2010.
Till it is passed, no amendments to Bonus Act can be effected.

Can anyone suggest whether the 11% is in force or still pending? what is the status and effect of the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Bill 2010 attached?
Presently we are calculating the bonus at 8.33% now. It could be very helpful if any one confirms in detail about 8.33% or 11% which will be correct to pay the current year starting from 01 Oct 2009 to 30 Sep 2010. (Tirupur, Tamilnadu)
