Dear All,
As we are all happy that now our rupee logo has come in place. The same to be made available in the keyboard replacing dollar logo for the indian users, the font rupee fordian only gives us to use it and does not gives us the right. If rupee fordian is not available in other computers the rupee logo cannot be seen.
I request the manufacturers to kindly put the rupee logo in the keyboard so that every indian feel proud in having the rupee logo in the keyboard/computer.
I request all the citehr family members to kindly support me so that our voice is being reached to all the manufacturers and also to the government so that a rule is being brought that in future and also for existing keyboard the rupee font to be compulsorily implemented.

I know that the rupee fordian font is available in the market. I am asking for a permanent solution to replace the dollar font which is available in the keyboard (in number 4 when u shift $) the same needs to be replaced. And for the mail id it is clearly there

. It is the same solution you are asking for. Once you take this font on your computer you will be able to type it the same way you do it for $, just the key is different.

Im really really happy to know that someone has raised this question atleast and you are the first person on this site who have take this step to put our new indian currency symbol on keyboard as Dollar has placed..

When you open the word document you need to select the font name from the font menu. You were all the font names are written like arial, book antiqua - there go and select Rupee Foradian and then just press ~ button you will get the new rupee logo

First thing Mr. Giridhar it your choice whether you want it or not. You have not rite to stop me or others in this forum to take or use an alternative available.
Its better you do not take it too personally and let other use the alternative till we get what you want.
And whats troubling you if I and other members are comfortable with it.
Atleast for now something is better than nothing.
