I have a serious question.

What is the meaning of Group Insurance Policy ? In case of sudden death (say cardiac arrest) does the family members get the said money?

Following are a few clips from our HR :-

This gives me immense pleasure in announcing that we are going to start Group
Insurance policy for our valued employees.

The benefit is for 24 hours of the day and valid all over the world. The Sum Assured
will be 20 times of the monthly salary or Rs 5 lakhs whichever is more. You are
requested to furnish the details (attached with this mail) ASAP.

Now in case of a sudden death (cardic arrest) of an employee is he/she entitled to the amount?

If not, what is the reason?
