Hi,

Could anybody pls. clarify me on the attrition formula?i have gone thru the various posts & is a bit confused about it.
Hypothetical Example - Opening Headcount 2812

200 new joinees

65 resignations for the month

Is it,
1.Attrition for the month/Total Headcount * 100 = (65/(2812+200))*100=2.15% or,

=65/(2812+2947)/2 *100 = 2.25%
Dear Soumita,

Please see posts at http://www.citehr.com/927-attrition-...lculation.html Rajat Joshi has given a good explantion. It does not matter which of the two alternatives you use; you need to be consistent in its use to compare figures from one period to another.

Have a nice day.

Daer Bhargavi, The formula depends upon what you are measuring. Hence, please use the Research facility in the Green box at the top. Have a nice day. Simhan Simhan
