Hi
what is the difference between regular employee and apprentice?
Will they hold EmplID?
Will they hold CTC?
How do we(HR of organization) maintain their details(history) for future reference?
Please help me with the above...
Thanks

Yes, I believe we can consider it in experience, if we have proof of employment of that apprentice with some organization that the person had been employed by that org.

Thank you Jaspreet,

The fact is, he(Apprantice) was taken from his college by some Delivery head(X Company)

Note: This Delivery Head(X Company) was guest faculty to their(Apprentice's) College

He(Apprantice) worked for him(Delivery head) in a small company for 10 months with no pay with a hope that they will make him(Apprentice) as a permanent employee with good pay, after 10 months Delivery Head(X Company) offered him(Apprentice) the 5K monthly job which he(apprentice) quit.

At the time of exit, they(X Company) provided a letter saying that so and so person for so and so period worked with them as a apprantice with no pay..

Note: Apprantice was not accomdated with any EmpdID,Salary Account,Email ID,Company ID Proof,

I guess, since its small company Delivery head managed to run the show with Apprentice for 10 months without any EmplID,Sal Account,Email ID,Company ID Proof..

So Now, this so called Apprentice had completed 8 years in industry by counting that 10 months......

Can he say that,he is 8(96 Months) Years Experienced or (8Y-10 Months)=86 Months Experienced......?

Thanks

Dear Subbu,
It depends upon company to company to count the exp. or not ... According to me though he was not being paid in all those eight months but he actually worked in that company....
experience is not counted on the basis of salary but the work a person has done so long....
Moreover its all upon the capability also if you really feel that the employee does really have potential; in that case it should not matter much.... but yeah reference check is a must in such cases...

EMPLOYEE - A person who is hired to provide services to a company on a regular basis in exchange for compensation and who does not provide these services as part of an independent business.

APPRENTICESHIP - Method in which trainees learn a craft or trade by hands-on experience while working with a skilled worker, usually under a written or implied indentureship agreement.

APPRENTICE - One who is bound by indentures or by legal agreement to serve a mechanic, or other person, in any field for a certain time, with a view to learn the art, or trade, in which his master is bound to instruct him.

In your case you shall consider that person because normally an apprentice may have better experience because they would be working under any person for learning that field. Again they would not have a CTC. In some cases they may be given a stipend for their work contributed.
If they are working in your organization as an apprentice the record may be maintained as same as the regular employee but in the case of salary details you shall maintain stipend details.

Still you have doubts message me in private.. Again don't get nervous if you don't find any reply. Definitely they would be some member to help you out with answers. ;)

App is never be employee of the company. stipend and tenure and different types etc you may refer Apprentice Act. ( ITI. Diploma, BE etc.,)
experience as App: This will be an on job experience, consideration of such depending upon company.
ID No: Apprentice will be provided with No and also temporary ID for the fixed period only.
