Please help me to know the maximum wages / salary limit for payment of overtime.
I am working as AM (Human Resources) in an MNC and salary of our staff is good enough (more than 20000/- per month). Some of our staff is staying late in the office.
I need your help to know the maximum wages / salary limit (some documentry proof). So, that i can be able tell the management that it is as per law it is applicable or not.

First examine which of the Act is applicable to you for payment of overtime to the employees i.e. Factories Act, 1948, Minimum Wages Act, State Shops & Establishment Act etc. & thereafter go through the definition of worker/employee in that particular Act & see whether there exit any wage / salary limit.
