Culture literal meaning is what how you cultivate or build oneself. Cult or build in multi-directionally i.e in ethically socially even in all aspects of that lead human development. Every culture is enriched with some good and bad features.

Indian culture is rich and diverse and as a result unique in its very own way. Our manners, way of communicating with one another, etc are one of the important components of our culture. Even though we have accepted modern means of living, improved our lifestyle, our values and beliefs still remain unchanged. A person can change his way of clothing, way of eating and living but the rich values in a person always remains unchanged because they are deeply rooted within our hearts, mind, body and soul which we receive from our culture.

Western culture can also be referred to as advanced culture; this is because its ideas and values promote the development and sustainment of advanced civilization. Western culture has had quite an influence in india but it has its pros & cons too. There are many good things in the western culture which we have adopted. But why do we see only the negatives? Even the Indian culture has influence the western world. the globe is shrinking & we are all getting closer to each other in many ways. so its very natural for us to adopt their ways & for them to adopt ours

Western culture has affected almost every dimension of society. The core religious traditions are still the same but the life style differences can be found because of western culture. Hence we can say that western media has not affected the core traditions of indian society but has changed life style and apparent characteristics of the society.

Conclusion: How there is head and tail for a coin there is both positive and negative impact of western culture and Indian Culture. I think both cultures are unique in their own way and equally good. Western culture and Indian culture both have good qualities and bad qualities. We should not think of which culture is better but should take the good qualities of both cultures and put it into use in our life

this one sentence explains why Indian culture is better, 'coz it always has the flexibility to adopt any good thing found any where.

I think culture depends on not only mentality of people who is present there but also geographical climate of that particular area also;
Let I explain:
for ex. U.K. is a small country having similler climate almost every where so they have almost similler culture in their entire nation but when we talk about India we found lots of variation thats the basic reason which play a major roll for differance in culture
thats why every culture is good for that individual preson who survive there.
And one more thing that is change, Yes its the rule of nature and that is based on us and our mentality lots of things and thought is add and remove in every culture I completly agree with Mr. Aseem that"We should not think of which culture is better but should take the good qualities of both cultures and put it into use in our life" and It is not the issue that which culture is better But issue is what is the best way for appling it.

For me... as long as the culture is not doing any harm to a society, to a community and to an individual, the culture is good enough. whatever values it has, how much advance it is, the things which matter most are generosity, civilization and the quality of excellence in thoughts and manners. All other values comes from a society and from a group of individuals for which a culture can not be blamed.

very true kavi, i liked the way you said, "All other values come from a society and from a group of individuals for which a culture can not be blamed."
As per me, we use the name "Culture" to hide behind outdated norms and evil traditions, which need to change as the society changes. We have a huge understanding gap. People in the villages are oblivious to what the people in the metros think and vice-versa....
Politicians use this as an excuse to get things done.... we are not turning into 'Americans' (no offence) we are just trying to upgrade ourselves!!!! no point in continuing the obsolete practices which would hurt the sentiments of others!

Y is tht u make Indian Culture soooooooooooo down???????? Instead u shd b proud tht u r an Indian getting to live with lots of different people, religion, caste, race eveything & getting to learn lots of different things at 1ce......
Where as in Foriegn countries u wont get to learn many things......There life will be like a machine... The only thing u get to learn in western countires is jus 1 culture, 1 religion, everything is 1 out there.........
U GOTO KEEP ALL THESE THINGS IN MIND B4 DAMAGING UR OWN COUNTRY!!!!!!!
HERE PEOPLE OFCOURSE SPEAK IN AN INFORMAL WAY, BUT THERE WILL BE LUV & CARE... BUT WESTERN PEOPLE R VERY FORMAL...... NO KHATTA OR MEETHA IN THEIR SPEECH.....
LEARN TO LUV UR COUNTRY B4 U GO FOR OTHERS......

Culture is something which is adaptable by anyone.... but it should be taken care that ...it doesn't hurt anyone or should not have bad impact on others...
Like today.. many women have adapted western culture... to some extent there are good qualities like education, liberty, growth in career.. and many more
But it has many impact also like... smoking, dating, and many more which can't be mentioned here....
Indian Culture has many restrictions inbuilt..... but when western culture is adapted it should have certain restrictions implemented............

People do things differently in India. Indian business culture is the product of thousands of years of influence of Hinduism with an overlay of British Raj, Islam and recent Western business systems. Here're some typical features of business culture in India : The A - Z of Indian Business Culture
Do you agree with them? Can we should apply these rules to our business relationship?

Which culture in your opinion will survive in long run? Individualism or togetherness? with togetherness man is less likely to make a mistake and improve lot and to overcome challenges overall developed. Before one is grown all logical explanations are not possible to give. Time teaches a lot with experience. Taking care of parents in their old age is main difference in my opinion. After all Indian culture is oldest and worth following with modern changes. The only thing India has never marketed itself.
