5S is a Japanese practice which means :-
1 Seiri - Clearing up
2 Seiton - Organising
3 Seiso - Cleaning
4 Seiketsu - Standardization
5 Shitsuke - Discipline

thxx but saw the site ....and not satisfied wht creativity shud i use its really difficult to relate it to hr ......its connected to all storage , equipments ,there cleaning and noy with hr

I suggest that you buy one of the books available at
Amazon.com: 5S for Service Organizations and Offices: A Lean Look at Improvements: Debashis Sarkar: Books and read.
An office also has certain similarities with a factory floor.
For example, how many files and others things that we store unnecessarily in an office. How about the layout of the office, depending upon its size. The 5-S priciples and concepts can even be applied at home.

Hi Jiah,
You are right. Its related to manufacturing firm but these days lot of other sectors like education, hospitals etc. are also applying this practice in their system. 5S basically comes under TQM (Total quality Management).
