Hello, I worked in 2 companies: Company 1: 10 Jan 2011 to 20 Jan 2015 Company 2: 13 March 2015 to 26 June 2018
Issues with PF Withdrawal
Now I want to withdraw my PF (form 10 online), but I have the following issues:
1. Date of joining is mentioned as 13 March 2015 in the claim submission page, which also states that the service is less than 5 years, so 34% TDS will be deducted since the amount is more than 50K. Shouldn't it be the joining date of Company 1? How can I correct the joining date so that the service will be around 7.5 years and no TDS will be deducted?
2. I am unable to link PAN due to a name mismatch error. In fact, the name exactly matches in all documents and income tax databases. There seems to be no solution for this error. I have tried all possible ways to tackle this error and finally gave up trying to solve it.
Please guide me on situation 1.
Thanks, Murali

1) There is no Form 10, and Form 10C (EPS) can be submitted only when the employee attains 58 years of age. The submission of Form 15G with a PAN card copy is a valid solution.
2) If account 1 (Form 19) exceeds 50,000, then also Form 15G with a PAN card copy works, provided the employee submits the same with a print copy of the online Form 19 submission to EPF.

Hi Glidor,
Thanks for the response. Sorry for the typo.
1. Form 10C - now I am a government servant, and EPF doesn't come into the picture. Still, can't I withdraw EPS?
2. Both accounts exceed 50K. Form 19 was submitted to EPFO, but they rejected it and asked to submit online. In this case, the date of joining/linking PAN is troubling me.

If you have disclosed previous employment during your interview, the best choice is to transfer the funds to your present EPS account.
The EPS fund does not get affected if you join government employment. It can only be withdrawn in two cases: 1) if the employee leaves India permanently, 2) in case of death.
Government of India (GOI) employment does not guarantee that the person employed will remain with the GOI until their last day. You can discuss this issue with your Regional EPF PRO for more details.
