I have worked in a spinning industry for 4 months in 2014 in Punjab (Sangrur). The PF number I have received from their office is incorrect according to the PF office. Now what should I do?
The PF number is PB/BTI/10862/000/3462. They are saying it's not associated with my account. Secondly, if I want to verify the PF number on my own, may I do so? If yes, then how?

EPFO zonal office can help only if the employee was contributory on 01/07/2014 as UAN got allotted based on that criterion, and the department computerized all employee data. If your service span is before the above-mentioned date, then you have to reach out to your employer and ask for your correct number.
