Please consider reading about the payment of wages instead of the ID act:
"The existing wage limit for applicability of the Act has been increased from Rs. 18,000 per month to Rs. 24,000 per month via Gazette Notification S.O. No. 2806 (E) dated 28th August 2017."

As far as I understand, neither the Central Government nor any State Government has increased the minimum wages for any scheduled employment under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948. Some trade union leaders have suggested a flat revision of minimum wages for all industries on an all-India basis, not below Rs. 15,000 per month. However, this demand has not been favored by any government so far.

As explained by seniors, the said notification is related to the Payment of Wages Act. It does not relate to minimum wages in any way. Through notifications, the government has increased the applicability of the Payment of Wages Act to those employees who draw wages up to Rs 24,000. For those who receive wages exceeding Rs 24,000, any rules made under the POW Act would not be applicable to them. The wording of Section 1, Subsection 6, which has been amended by the government, is provided below for your reference:
(6) Nothing in this Act shall apply to wages payable in respect of a wage-period which, over such wage-period, average twenty-four thousand rupees a month or more.
I hope your query has been resolved.
