Respected Authority,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mukul, and I work as an HR in the IT industry.

I have a question. A couple of weeks ago, one of our employees met with an accident and got injured. He sought treatment at a private hospital, incurring expenses of around 60k. His current salary is 13500/- (which falls under ESIC deduction in our company), and he is now seeking a mediclaim from ESIC.

Could you please suggest the process or provide information on how to claim the amount in such a situation?

Regards,
Mukul

Hi, please get in touch with me. I have the list of documents to be submitted to ESIC in case of treatment in a private hospital. Unfortunately, I have lost my diary, so I am unable to provide you with the list at this time. Please wait for 2 or 3 more days. If you have any doubts, feel free to call or drop me an email at the below-mentioned email ID.

Reimbursement Process for Medical Treatment under ESIC

ESIC has formulated its instructions and rules for the reimbursement of expenses for medical treatment. An online link to some of the instructions available on the website of ESIC is mentioned below for your information:

http://www.esic.nic.in/other_reimbursement.php

You can find more relevant information on the website of the Regional Office of ESIC to which your unit is attached.

Furthermore, I believe ESIC also has a referral policy for directing such cases to private hospitals. You can refer to the same on the ESIC website.

Hi,

The ESIC claim process is very simple. Firstly, in case of hospitalization, the employee should inform the ESIC Dispensary within 24 hours. Subsequently, upon admission to the hospital and finally upon discharge, all bills should be collected. After the hospitalization, the ESIC Dispensary will collect a few forms which need to be submitted for the claim.

For any queries, please call 8602182676.

Thank you.
