Hi all respected HR team members, I am facing a critical situation and would appreciate your suggestions on a way out.
Background of My Experience
My situation is that I have 4 years of experience in the telecom field. I joined company C1 with some fake experience details as outlined below:
- 6 months - Company A (fake experience)
- 1 year - Company B (I only worked here for 6 months, but I put 1 year on the CIS form)
The rest of my experience is genuine.
Current Situation
My current employer is only asking for the experience letter from Company B. I made efforts to obtain a 1-year experience letter from Company B, and luckily, the HR manager provided me with the letter stating 1 year instead of 6 months. However, he mentioned that he would not alter the information in their database. If contacted for verification, he will confirm that I worked there for 1 year.
I submitted the experience letter from Company B to my current employer. Meanwhile, I received a job offer from another company and resigned from my current position.
Dilemma with New Job Offer
Now, the main problem is that I am not satisfied with my new job, and I am receiving a job offer again from C1. However, I have decided to present only genuine documents, meaning I will not use any fake documents. My question is, will they check my previous data before my joining and ask why I provided incorrect information during my previous employment?
Please help, as this is very urgent.
Regards,
Bipin

First of all, I commend you for now telling the truth and correcting your initial error. You have no need to worry. If the verification is questioned, you just say that the true experience is six months and that there must be an error by Company B. After all, people show fake experience to be more, not less! Let this be a lesson to all those who fake; it is not worth it in the long run, the truth will catch up someday.

Hi Harsh, thanks for your reply. I appreciate your answer, but if they said you have written 1 year by yourself, you have to provide a 1-year document. However, now you have written 6 months of experience for the same B company, and you are providing only 6 months of experience.
Second Issue: Lack of Documents for Company A
The second issue is that I don't have any documents for my A company, and I'm not showing the A company this time. They may ask this question as well.
Regards.
