Dear Rajesh, Without knowing what happened during the induction training, how can we help you? The best way is to write a draft and seek help to improve it.

Dear Seniors,

I have joined as Manager-Adv at HO, but being a new employee to the company, I was given a schedule of three days induction to visit the plant. There I was supposed to see the manufacturing process, visit different departments such as P & A, General Office, Dispensary, Sales & Marketing, Accounts & Finance, etc., meet with all senior management, and observe the work culture. Now, I have to submit a report on what I have seen there and the knowledge I have gained about the company. I have prepared a detailed report of the visit in a Word format starting from the first day morning to the last day, but I need to present the same in a more polished format.

Kindly provide some samples to help with this presentation.

Thank you,
Rajesh

Dear Rajesh, Like I said earlier, prepare a draft presentation and then seek help to improve that.

Means that you do not want to learn anything about the organization, its processes, practices, systems, etc., and to simply copy a report and file it with HRD to meet the requirements. This defeats the entire concept of the process called induction training. In fact, we spend more than 4 hours with the new inductee reviewing their report/presentations to assess their learnings. This process also helps in receiving corrections from the employer's perspective.

My request to others is to not respond to foolish queries, as they may only hinder one's career progression. Let's take this in the right spirit.

Absolutely good guidance, Mr. Anand. This should be the way of training. If he becomes a copycat from day one, what can a business organization expect from such recruits? Jump in the water, and you will learn to swim.

Rajesh,

Please start with the program of visit including time schedules and time spent. Then, cover each department and jot down points on what you have seen and understood. After this, draw or list out connections between each of these departments. Provide your comments on the overall functioning of each department and your role/present job function in relation to that department. You can limit or add content as per requirements.
